What is YÖS?

YÖS (Foreign Student Exam) is the university entrance exam used by foreign students who want to study at universities in Turkey. The YÖS Exam is not a centralized exam: Until 2011, the exam, which was only held by ÖSYM (Assessment, Selection and Placement Centre), was held independently by universities between the years 2011-2022. As of 2023, it has been decided that the exam will be held by both universities and ÖSYM.

YOS Exam content

The YÖS Exam usually consists of 80 questions. In these questions, an average of 35 Mathematics Questions, 5 Geometry and 60 IQ questions are asked. These numbers may vary depending on the university. Generally, IQ – General Aptitude Questions are asked as 65% in YÖS exams.
