INTERNATIONAL WINTER CAMP 2024 – SWITZERLAND

 OFFERS 1 TO 4 WEEK LONG full board SWISS WINTER CAMP SESSIONS FOR KIDS & TEENS AGED 6 TO 17. OUR LANGUAGE COURSES AND EXCURSIONS WILL ENSURE A BALANCE OF OUTDOOR ADVENTURE AND OFF SNOW LEARNING.

 

Set in a breathtaking panorama, Verbier has been voted World’s Best ski resort and it is the most famous resorts in Switzerland and Europe. Verbier offers the best in sporting and leisure activities all year round in a cosmopolitan and relaxed atmosphere. It is the perfect place to experience a real international winter camp.

The winter camp domain comprises more than 450 km of skiing and has more than 100 ski lifts connecting the four valleys.

The high altitude guarantees that there will be snow from December to April.

Verbier also has many shops and restaurants, from the most informal to the most sophisticated.

Verbier is located in the French part of Switzerland, 1 hour and 45 minutes from Geneva, 2 hours and 45 minutes from Zürich and 30 minutes from the Italian and French borders.  It is an ideal location for an international winter camp in Switzerland.

 

Before arriving in Verbier, the campers will spend a full board magic night in Geneva, capital city of Switzerland where they will witness the charm of Swiss Christmas and winter!

ALONGSIDE OUR FULL-DAY SKI AND SNOWBOARD LESSONS WE OFFER A FULL PROGRAM OF AFTER-SKI AND EVENING ACTIVITIES. STUDENTS CAN CHOOSE FROM A RANGE OF KID’S WINTER CAMP ACTIVITIES INCLUDING SLEDGING, IGLOO BUILDING, TORCHLIGHT HIKE, DISCO, ICE SKATING, HOCKEY, SNOWMAN BUILDING AND MANY MORE.

 

Our evening winter camp programs are tailored to meet the requirements of our students. Our groups participate in an activities program for the entire winter camp from 8pm until 9pm and our older groups from 8pm until 9:45pm, with bedtime at 10pm.

We offer many activities including ice skating, team challenges, quizzes, disco night, game competitions, dining out in a Swiss restaurant, cinema night, campfires, torchlight walk, mountain BBQ, nightline, bean bag fashion show, dragons’ den and a final prize-giving celebration to finish each week.

During the last night of winter camp, all of our students will be participating in the prize giving night. Since 8 pm, our staff will be rewarding those campers who reached some particular criteria. A slideshow will be accompanying the night and entertaining the parents who have the opportunity to participate in the event.

This is also the perfect opportunity to say goodbye to the new friends met and the monitors during your time in winter camp.

In addition to the prizes received, at the end of the evening, to every winter camp student will be handled the language certificate (if attending the language course) and the ski or snowboards level of progression certificate.

Campus in Verbier Perrin

Our two purpose-built wood and stone chalets follow the Swiss Alpine tradition and offer charm and comfort to our guests.

Both chalets are situated in green, peaceful surroundings and are only five minutes from the center of Verbier. The girls and boys are separated in each of the two chalets, which are completely equipped for holiday camps :

  • A permanently staffed and welcoming reception hall
  • Large rooms with two to four beds and en-suite bathrooms
  • Two spacious, sunny dining rooms with an open-planned sitting room
  • Open fireplace leading onto a south-facing terrace with a barbecue
  • A library, games hall, cinema, music room (or discothèque)
  • Conference rooms and internet room
  • Professionally equipped kitchens in both buildings
  • All equipment for indoor and outdoor games and sports: football field, basketball, volleyball, and badminton courts, golf putting/driving range, trampoline, pétanque area, and climbing walls.

 

TYPICAL DAY SCHEDULE

 

Morning

A typical day at winter camp will start with an early wake-up at 7.30 am followed by a large continental breakfast until 8.45 am. All skiers and snowboarders will leave to go skiing with their ski guides; departure from campus is with our private mini buses.

Afternoon

From 12.00-1.00pm, a warm lunch will be served in our private mountain restaurants. From 1.00 pm to 4.00 pm, winter campers will practice what they have learnt in the morning and enjoy the skiing with their guides. At 4.00 pm, all campers will return to camp, enjoy a hot chocolate and relax until 5.00 pm, when they will be signing up for the after-ski activities, which are fully supervised by our animation staff. These activities will be indoor & outdoor activities, such as swimming, visiting the town of Verbier, going ice skating and many more. From 9.00-12.00 the students will be on the slopes in order to get their ski lessons and discover and practice new exercises. Every day at winter camp is different, but that is what makes this international environment so special.

Evening

At 7.00 pm, dinner will be served including a fresh and healthy 3-course menu.The evening activities will take place from 8.00 pm until 10.00 pm. Some of our classics are the torchlight walk through the forest, ice hockey/ice skating, music video, private disco, and many other activities. During the week, the campers will go on an exciting excursion at our winter camp in Switzerland.

Dinner at camp, perhaps Fondue Night, Peppered Beef Ragout with Rosti or Cheese burgers with Juan’s secret sauce. You will never want to go to a different winter camp!
