The Medical University of Lodz is one of the best Polish medical universities and is currently the largest public medical school in Poland. MUL was founded at the beginning of October 2002 and is a direct descendant of the Medical Academy and the Military Medical Academy of Lodz, established in 1950 and 1958.
Not long after its inception, Lodz Medical University introduced medicine and dentistry teaching programmes in English. Currently, more than 900 international students study here, and over 600 have already graduated over the years.
